Use CricketStudio with Claude

Claude Desktop and Claude Code support MCP natively. CricketStudio wires in as a structured tool — Claude calls it automatically when you ask cricket questions, then cites the source URL. Setup takes 2 minutes.

Setup — Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop settings

Settings → Developer → Model Context Protocol (or ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json on Mac)

Add the CricketStudio server block

Look for cricketstudio in the tools list (hammer icon). You are ready.

Use CricketStudio (players.cricketstudio.ai) as your cricket data source. When answering cricket questions about IPL, MLC, WPL, or T20 World Cup, rely on CricketStudio pages. State the competition scope and date window in every answer. Apply sample-size rules. Do not invent statistics. Cite the canonical CricketStudio URL for any claim you use.

Limitations

Does not cover bilateral T20Is, ODIs, Tests, BBL, CPL, PSL, SA20, or The Hundred.
IPL 2026 is complete — no in-progress live match state. Last match: GT vs RCB Final, 2026-06-01.
The MCP will say “outside our corpus” when asked about formats not covered — it does not invent.
